JV is an awesome driver, bloody legend. He left BAR cos Dave Richards was a royal prick!

He was last on the time sheets at Silverstone with Kimi being the quickest.
But he said he is slowly getting used to it and will improve his time!

I would love to see him back in a good race car!
Great driver, you don't become a World Champ if your not.

what happens now, is he with sauber or with renault?

From what i undersatnd Trulli has come out today and said he is going to Toyota. Which he was going to say in China, now if Sauber give the ok i'm sure that Renault will want JV to race the final 3 races with them.

It shouldn't bother Sauber because he is getting race time on someone elses behalf. But then again it is F1 so you never know.

interesting response from JV (again from the official F1 site)

"Q: Finally, what are your objectives for these three races?
JV: The team and I share a common goal: to beat BAR to second place in the championship. I am here to enjoy myself as well, but the priority is to contribute to Renault's fight in the championship. It will be tough, but sometimes you have to take the plunge. Once you have done so, there is no other option but to make it work."

bad blood between JV and BAR, i guess he's still hurting from when he was dumped and sato took his drive in japan

I love JV, we both have the same passion we hate BAR!
    Jenson and Sato both SUCK!

If anyone can help Renault it is Alonso and JV.
JV was 3rd quickest today at Silverstone with Alonso first followed by Kimi.
He is proving he is still a good driver!

I hope he does succeed and Renault come 2nd. Dream come true!

    Renault confirm Villeneuve will race
As team focus on the Constructors' battle

Villeneuve to return to race action in China!

Renault today confirmed that Jacques Villeneuve will partner Fernando Alonso for the final three races of the 2004 Formula 1 season, beginning with next week’s Chinese Grand Prix, following a successful two-day test this week at Silverstone.

The French-Canadian completed 700km during his two days of running at Silverstone, acclimatising himself to the Renault R24 after an absence of nearly twelve months from a Formula 1 car.

“We are very excited to welcome Jacques Villeneuve to Renault for the final three Grand Prix of the 2004 season," stated Managing Director Flavio Briatore.

"He is highly motivated and has impressed us with his performance this week. I would also like to thank Peter Sauber for his collaboration in this matter. The Renault F1 Team’s objective is now to claim second place in the Constructors’ Championship and we are focused intently on doing so.”

Renault dropped behind rivals BAR at the Italian Grand Prix and are now three-points adrift of the runner-up spot heading to China.
    Thanks to F1-live.com for that.

    Go JV!
