Thumbs up New Honda Freed in Australia ?

I've been wanting a cheap 7-seater for ages and it seems the smallest around is Holden Zafira, but even that still uses 2L engine. I dislike fuel guzzlers nowadays.

But then I found out Honda is releasing a small 8-seater with 1.5L engine and fuel economy to die for

Any idea whether it will ever make it to Australia ?

Nope, not coming out. I don't see it as being able to fit a baby seat meeting ADR standards.

Too bad the Odyssey is priced in the "luxury" range. If this Freed can come in at the price point of below the base Euro, it should be interesting....

yeah it's at the higher end but it's a great car. it may not be as functional to some people as some of the competitors but imho it's by far the nicest to drive.
but yeah price isnt one of the main reasons people by an odyssey. if they want cheap cars they buy a kia or hyundai.

Hyundai Imax is still $37k and only just available this year.. While the Kia Carnival ($38k base model)... OMG.... so many mechanical problems!
