Hi all does anyone know the exact gear ratios for the FN2R or where I could find them? Thanks Matt
Same as FD2R
ok great thanks. so just checking: 1st gear - 55km/hr 2nd gear - 85km/hr 3rd gear - 120km/hr ? (all at 8k rpm)
They will list gear ratios on carsales.com.au. You can get top speed in each gear from the manual or from a Wheels magazine review.
-------------------------------------- Stocky CL9 - 1:17.2
im pretty sure these details are in the manual...
2008 Honda Civic Type R [FN2] K20Z4 DOHC i-VTEC @ 5,600 RPM *Power: 198 bhp (201 PS, 148 kW) @ 7800 rpm*Torque: 142 ft·lbf (193 N·m) @ 5600 rpm*Redline: 8200 rpm*
Thanks guys, I don't have a FN2R so i couldn't check the manual. From aaron's advice i went to carsales... in case anyone is interested it says: Ratio 1 - 3.266:1 Ratio 2 - 2.130:1 Ratio 3 - 1.157:1 Ratio 4 - 1.147:1 Ratio 5 - 0.921:1 Ratio 6 - 0.738:1 Final drive ratio - 5.062:1

85km's at 8k rpm in 2nd? I get to 100k's at around 6.7k rpm in my Vti-L. Must be a bit of difference in the engine.

hey, just a quick question, changing stock gear ratios to 4.7 ish would increase torque, would this hold true if an even lower final drive was installed? ie a 4.5 final drive would have more torque than a 4.7?
