    96 Integra Clutch Troubleshooting

    Hi

i recently changed my clutch master and slave cylinders in my integra, only to discover that the pedal is now 'spongy' and the friction point is closer to the firewall than the drivers seat.

I have searched the integra forum to find people with *similar* symptoms but no actual fix. The clutch is not slipping (ie. tested on a hill in 3rd/4th), which would suggest that it could be air in the lines.

Can anybody please shed some light on the issue?

    Cheers

Yeah sounds like there is air in the line. Just re-bleed till there is no air pockets coming through.

If you want to adjust the friction point you have to adjust it from the
part that connects the clutch master to the pedal.
There will be a locking nut on the shaft and you have to spin the bracket
piece back or forth for adjustment, then lock that position in with the nut.
