VSS error. no speedo. no vtec

    ye so.

my vss sensor is playing up once again.

took the 2 bolts off the top part. gave it a clean inside.

the little pin inside looks fine. turns and grabs fine.

sprayed the connector ontop with wd40.

still no speedo. and throwing an engine light. so vtec is not working because of this.

    same as last time.

    any ideas guys?

will my vss from my d16y4 work on this motor?

    b18c7..

Yes the d series one will work - take the gear spline out of the b18 vss - a small pin to pull on the side of the housing and it slides out.
Put this into the d series vss and away you go

I had the same problem and it turned out to be that the wires were corroded and the vss unit itself was perfectly fine.

Might be worth getting a voltmeter onto the wires somewhere and just check it's getting a signal.

So I found my integra harness. Chopped off vss cable and soldered it on. Works beautifully
