Heya All From A New DC5 Owner

I just bought myself a DC5 Type R (pics below). Thought I'd jump online to get a little more info and find a great community. I'm in the process of modding the car and would appreciate the feedback.

I've replaced the factory strut brace with a Cusco item and changed to the JDM engine cover. I've also fitted the HID headlights from the JDM Type R.

I've got an Injen CAI HKS VTEC controller and Fujitsubo Power Getter catback exhaust on order. I'm also ordering Tein Flex coilovers and Volk TE37 PCDs in 17s on Monday from Shift Performance in Lansvale, Sydney.

I've held off on ordering headers while I research options. Can anyone here suggest anything? I was after Fujitsubo headers but they haven't developed them for the DC5.

The goal with the car is to have a well set up track car that isn't overly powerful nor too hard to drive on the street. I'd appreciate any feedback from the more experienced members here.

    Cheers.

Nice car! Did the red seats come with it or did you change them over yourself?

Take a look here for a Toda header group buy - very good price for a great header.

Cheers. Like quite a few ITRs the original seats were stolen. I've got a 9 point alarm and immobiliser with internal siren to keep the deadbeats away. Car is never really out of my sight as my last car (CC Lancer GSR) was stolen. I picked it up with the red Recaros. I had the chance to buy a silver with black Recaros and I'm glad I went for this one. It's a much better look for a Type R.

The Toda headers were at the top of my list. I was just holding out for the Fujitsubo option because the Power Getter seems to be the best option for catback, so I would've loved to pair em up. I'll check out that link.

Great looking car you got there CONGRATULATIONS
Sounds like your on the right track with the mods you’re done so far and what you’re planning to do.
As for Headers, I’m installing the TODA. At the end of the day it’s your choice in what you want, GOOD LUCK

I just put my hand up for the Toda buy in. They were the headers I was pretty much sold on anyway. It's amazing the difference in price between brands. I was getting anything from $2,400 for Mugen through to $1,300 for Buddy Club. I'm pretty pleased with the Toda as I've heard great reports.

Gotta love Forza 2. It's been a great test bed for wheels for the car. That's how I came to the conclusion of TE37s for the car.

Sig changed. I was told by a Honda dealer stock controller that was the colour. Not surprised they got it wrong.
