Buying Modded Vs Buying Stock has its Pros and cons...

When buying any 2nd hand car you cant make stereo types or assumptions, you have to treat every car as its own by itself.

Eg.. you cant "assume" that because a car is modded that its been thrashed... just like you cant "assume" a car that is stock with under 100k is perfect.

Buying a modded car you can really pick up some bargains... but also you have to be able to smell bullshit. Ie Internal work? have they got recipets? (i never knew mugen made pistons or injectors?) and if people dont have reciepts you CANNOT take their word for it. No reciept... its bullshit

Buying a stock car and planning to do it... will cost you lots more money AND Time AND sweat then ever ever in theory. But you cant take pride in atleast you created something.

150xxxk's on a 96 dc2 is pretty good imo. But as i said its really just a number that means shit all. 150xxx on one car could be good and 150xxxks on another could be very bad. Its all to do with their life. Do your research and know what to look for. Keep in mind many hondas see over 400xxxks unrebuilt. I belive honda themselves have some honda engines running over 1 000 000ks. (in near perfect conditions)

Know the things to look for and be able to look for signs of possibly faults.

ALso i still stand by the Gen 5 VTIR > Dc2 Vtir. Your kidding yourself if you think there is no aftermarket support for H22a... WTF? some of the best honda drag cars use these engines.. both here and the states.... If it were an Accord with a F20b (Similar spec to the h22a)... then yeh you fuct.

my friend bought a low km's 60000 honda civic. youd think its in great condition, but the original owners "old couple" never serviced it so his battery, starter motor died. and i saw it blowing white smoke yesterday. never assume low km's = great car

me (+ everyone i know) see the prelude as more of a girls car than any other honda, we also dont really see them as a sports car either, they are a cruizer... +respect for anyone with a type-s but otherwise they are nice for bling not bang

i have seen more girls and idiot pop style P platers driving them around thinking they are top stuff

how many nice clean tegs u see around? further more ho many bogans u see driving the? i see next to non lol
a girls car? and eks where made for wat??
BOYS?? thats why there rounded and small and a 1.6
im not sayin there not great just making my point

YOU CANT GENERALISE A CAR WITH THE PEOPLE DRIVING THEM!!!
just for bling .. there are things u can do to the lude same as with the teg
not all luders think bling is best

preludes are great cars BUT i can say they dont go all that great, its all up to wat the INDIVIDUAL is lookin for
you think there arnt any "idiot pop style" P platers driving tegs?
most hondas seem to be the target for p platers cos of restrictions

how many nice clean tegs do you see??
there all the same... im not sayin out there is nice
    but step out alittle

im sure heaps of people will agree

'you think there arnt any "idiot pop style" P platers driving tegs?'

im yet to see one driving a vtec integra, seen a few gsi's

'a girls car? and eks where made for wat??

good thing about EK is they are half way between hatch and coupe and they are a nice light basis for a mean sleeper, commodores hate seeing the back of them hahaha, they look very mean with angel halo eyes or any slight modification really
good thing about honda is they are very easy to make look mean with jdm styling, thing i dont like personally about the prelude is they are pretty much complete car and the newest 2 models look more usdm style than rice, and they are too heavy and its hard to find parts for them, they are very nice to drive and handle very well but i felt that preludes were more of a complete package, i think they would be a better car to maybe get you to work everyday etc rather than be on the scene and getting new parts for it everyweek

'Buying a stock car and planning to do it... will cost you lots more money AND Time AND sweat then ever ever in theory. But you cant take pride in atleast you created something.'

yes this is very true, although it is fun creating something the time and effort really is a drain, i spent SO much time and energy on my car and in one instance of stupid boganistic ford driving (some idiot hit me) it was all gone, so the next car im getting is gona be pretty much left alone lol

same thing goes with ludes aswell.. it's either stock or ridiculously ugly.

    it's obvious.
teg owners will vouch for tegs.

lude owners will vouch for ludes.

comes down to actual specs of each car

i was actually originally reffering to the ugliness of preludes done up with bling not jdm
i havnt seen one teg blinged out yet... and i dont want to because it will make me cry =(

im fed on the jdm of ozhonda!! lol
