For my own satisfaction, i hope it wasnt for cost cutting GRRR!!!

passenger seat does not have heated seat back due to OPDS (occupant position detection system) so that if small adult/child rest on side off seat it deactivates the side airbag

all hondas with side passenger airbags have it (as far as im aware)... u can test it out while your driving, get your passenger to lean against the window side of their seat (as if they were sleeping), if they are a large child or adult, you'll have to get them to slump down in the seat so the car thinks theyre smaller... have them do that for awhile, and within 10-20secs youll see the SIDE AIRBAG OFF light illuminate on the dash

i researched it when i was looking into swapping the seats from an acura rsx into the euro...

    illustration of the OPDS:

alternatively if you want heated passenger seat back, you can buy the drivers seat from an acura tsx and chuck that in... easy

Apart from the drive by wire throttle, the other thing I dislike is that 'lock' which stops the steering wheel from moving and is need to allow you to crank the engine.

Man, there were times that bloody thing got in the way and just wouldn't let me crank the engine and suddenly cut off and when the engine would cough then start. It was fixed when I took the car to service one time... now it is no where near intrusive. So it's all good.

And another thing I might add is the brakes... while i find them very powerful and things (could get some improvements) - The brakes squeal when I apply them like just wondering around at low speeds around say shopping centre carpark etc... meh...

    - 1st gear throttle response. Man I hate how jerky it is.
    - Sunroof switches. Shouldn't have to hold them down - at the least there should be an extra 'click' like on driver's window so make it go the full distance.
    - Speaking of driver's window - why aren't there 'auto' switches for every window? Is this too hard? My 11 year old Audi had them.
    - No MP3 standard with the stereo.
    - Sunroof mechanicals are too visible for my liking.
    - The boot should have gas-lift struts instead of the old style intrusive hinges.
    - I've had a couple of rattles eminating from the parcel shelf but they seem to have disappeared since I moved house - to a place with much less bumpy roads.
    - I would like a button that isn't on the touch screen to switch the A/C compressor on or off. It's not tactile as it is (aswell as two button presses) and I do it often enough to find it annoying.

Despite all those gripes I do love my car. The gearbox and clutch in particular are miles ahead of my last car and let me heel & toe with abandon!
Totally agree with the auto windows...I was in an 11 year holden astra with auto down for all windows LOL
And where is the trip computer on the 03-05 models? Late 90's base model falcons have them geez
