    Car Launching

Hey when i drive my car normally, like when i take off the tyres shiver a bit before gaining traction...What problem could this be? It happens all the time. Could it be the tyres? they are on like 20-10%. Anyone else having this problem? And say if i launch the car at 2,000rpm the car just goes into burnout mode all the way thru to 2nd gear and stops at 3rd gear..

    Tyres most probably.

Maybe try a smoother clutch release?

Could be Tyre wear, tyre pressure, wheel hop, adjustable suspension at different rates ect..

    10% tyres??
Dude, theyre defectable ... and ur not doing urself any favours in terms of safety.

And perhaps when you notice the car hopping when u take off, back off the gas instead of flooring it thru 2nd?

This "problem" of yours, reeks of hoonish behaviour!

    LOL second that.

But Q-ball... 10% of tread above trend indicator, is legal. 10% of total tread... illegal.

wait this is a Gsi right...? They can't pull burnouts, can they?

Perhaps try wrapping your 20"s in something better than Nankangs or Triangles.

A gsi should be able to pull a burnout, A breeze civic can do a burnout on take off pretty easy. New decent tyres should help your problem with the chirping/hopping when launching.
