    Legality Of....

Mods, please feel free to move this to the correct forum...

According to the law, the Speedo and Tacho cannot be blocked by anything..

But I've seen people with RSM units installed on the steering wheel.. Is that legal since the RSM is techically a Speedo and a Tacho...

I'm asking because I've just relocated my Apexi gadgets for a better view as well as I need the console space in which I previously mounted the two units...

Victorian cops are really anal about everything, so I'd be careful about that. They can easily argue that the RSM is not a true indication of the vehicle speed, unless you have some engineers certificate.

Either way, I suggest you move it somewhere else, just to be safe

Nick - take a look at this link - refer to Vicroads mod guide listed and aust standards - also look at the EPA letter this guy posted -- according to the EPA your VAFC II is not legal unless you have documentary evidence in Victoria the car still meets emissions standards etc. So the moral of the story is - if the cops want to defect you - they will find a way with your mods.
