You may want to consider buying from another state and getting it transported over. I have done this before and while the transport cost me $600-$800 from Melbourne to Perth I had a much larger range of cars to choose from and they were cheaper to boot. Just make sure you trust the seller 100% before sending any money. It is hard but you can arrange to get the vehicle mechanically inspected and if the buyer is dinkum he will allow it. The company will then fax or email the report to you and you can make a decision. Like I said, be 100% sure the seller isn't going to rip you off and you will be fine.
