Also quick question for guys that have upgraded their suspension setups.

Im looking at getting some buddy club race coilovers but also wanted to enquire what other parts people upgraded and why? Ie: tie rods, bushings etc.
Same wheels, different specs and colour. Looking good! Just needs more low now.

You'll need rear camber arms if you lower the car. Everything else is optional.

basic things you need for low and desired geometry is coilovers and rear camber arms because most coils have pillow ball upper mount which allows you to adjust front camber without the use of camber bolts.

For the EP3/DC5 suspension design, this causes toe adjustment problems as the pillow ball mounts angle the whole strut assembly which leaves insufficient adjustment for tie rod, so basically you're looking at undesirable toe in whilst getting camber using the pillow ball mounts. (Someone correct me if this is incorrect, this is what i was told by the guys at heasmans). This can be fixed with inverted tie rods or [shorter?] tie rods?
There are a number of decent brands for camber adjustment out there.. SPC, hardrace, buddyclub etc.

Also because of the design of the front struts, lowering too much will badly affect handling due to the angle of the front lower control arms. If you want to keep low while maintaining optimal handling roll centre adjusters are worth looking into. Hardrace and J's racing make these.

Bushings will tighten everything back up as they get subject to wear and tear.

Thanks man, yeah I am still on stock suspension atm, fronts are running a 235 40 17.
I havent got any clearance issues at all right now but assume I will have those when I lower it.

Will def get some rear camber arms and will also be looking at getting some j's tie rods and adding to that a tegiwa steering bracket at the same I will possibly look at replacing all bushings all round with possibly some energy suspension ones but still undecided on what brad of bushings I will look at. I also recently purchased some j's roll centre adjusters too.

Will hopefully be getting these put in the next few weeks when some other parts arrive to complete the suspension setup.
