    turbo install crank angle position sensor help

    I have installed a turbo kit on my D16Y4 civic and are have nearly finished installing a VIPEC aftermarket computer... im having a problem finding a crank signal for the new ECU and cant fin it in the dizzy... CAN ANYONE PLZ HELP!!!!!

    D16Y4 uses an optical type of Crank Angle Sensor but actually reffered to as the TDC.

    from the stock ECU connectors you can find the sensor at Pin B4. You also have to power up the dizzy before it will produce a signal

    see the below pic for what must be present at the dizzy connector






    another solution is to use a Dizzy from an OBDI Engine that fits and use the reluctor type of CKP.

    cheers for that... ended up getting it in the end.. its amazing how many auto elec actully no jack shit about these things
