Normal idle, then fast, then normal

Havent used the EK1, D16Y4 for a while and the battery was dead.
Fitted a new one and all was good except the idle.
She idles normal for about 3 seconds, speeds up for about 3 seconds then back to normal for 3 seconds, speeds up etc etc etc
No misfire and no power loss everything is fine except idle.
Have run it for a couple of days now incase it was the computer relearning but dont think so.
Any idea where to start with this?

Start by cleaning IACV and FITV(if you have one?) and check for vacuum leaks

Check ECU for codes and look into dizzy and adjust timing after doing the above

Clean Throttle body , IVAC , Vaccum , do some Seafoming. etc. its more of a blockage/Dirtnes issue by the sound of it . nothing to worry about.

Dropped it into the dealer today, charged me a pittance as they only belted the stepper motor with a hammer a few times and cleared the muck out.
If it happens again will need a new stepper motor and radiator flush at a cost of $700, that wont happen tho will learn how to do it myself
