Hey guys thinking of purchasing the silvers neo max coilovers for my dc5, just would like to know people's thoughts or a overview on anybody who has them thanks.
When you look at the shock there are two silver rings. One of the bottom of the spring another one. This one is the locking ring for the height, so you undo it and spin it up or down to get the height you want without touching the spring. I got mine installed by a rather retarded mechanic. He fiddled with the spring even though i said DO NOT TOUCH THE SPRING. was never the same after that.
Kept on making noises and clunking. Also on the fronts the rings would come loose every now and then. So loctite them. Rear were ok, didnt have much dilemmas.
The reason why the fronts played up so much was because the tie rod is mounted onto the actual coilover i reckon. Retarded design. Pain in the arse DIYing.
Overall they offered enhanced performance over stock, without significant reduction in ride quality.
The adjustable damper settings work, but dont expect bigger changes even though it says 32 clicks damper adjustable.
