i thought only my car didnt do this, my friends 2 lancers wont go in.
and my EG wont go in either, ive tried rev matching (from second to neutral blip throttle and try pushing her in) but nothing happens at all rpm levels.
I've noticed its easier if u go straight in from 2nd. so when your slowing down quite slow and in one motion; clutch in and push the stick from 2nd into 1st without waiting in neutral.
usually works at speeds below 15km for me.

It's the same with mine. It will only let me drop to first at a very low speed, so I just use second.

maybe DC2R being a close ratio gearbox maybe 2nd and 1st are tighter, more racey box no safety feature.

dc2r is 5 speed man, just practise your rev matches and you'll be fine

Had a bunch of Hondas (CRX, EG, DC2, etc) and they can all go from second to first if you blip the throttle/rev match. Just practice and you'll be fine. Also slots in OK if you are going really slowly.

Rev match. I can do it in my prelude and take off at about 3000 rpm
