In addition, you're able to select your own repairer which is amazing.

I'm 27 and paid $969 for a 12-month insurance plan with $650 excess, and that includes windscreen (+$50) and rating one secured even if I have to make a claim in the next 2 years if I remember correctly (+$40).

Anyone had any past experiences with them before? They've got a 14-day full refund policy so if I decide to change, I'm able to just ring them up and cancel my plan.

Edit: They covered for my aftermarket suspension/wheels as well. I read the fine print and I can't drive more than 8,000 km's p.a. which is fine with me since it's not a daily.
I tried going with them but they wouldn't cover me for some reason? Something about recently policy change...

I'm with enthusiast underwriting, and i picked my own agreed value. First year it was 1200 because i hadn't driven a high performance vehicle (my beast of a stock 100kw prelude doesnt count lol).
second year its about $800. requires driving low kms and keeping car in garage etc. I still cant believe how cheap!

With Lumley's as well. Gonna bump it down to limited use when renewing as it's not a daily anymore, hopefully it'll be a decent reduction.
Not sure what the policy change is, as i don't recall getting any letters/emails regarding it.

I currently pay $800 pa, 30yo, 99 s2000 for an agreed value of about 18-19k...

Due to work changes, I drive less than 5000km pa (I've only driven 1500 so far this year)... What insurance companies apart from Lumley have lower insurance premiums with restricted kilometre driving?

Wow, there is perhaps some advantage in being a clapped out old fart.

I went back to Shannons after a claim on the TR7. The drivers door was picked up, pulled forward, & jammed into the fender. It was an expensive repair, including a new door for what looked like minor damage. Shannons approved it quickly, at my preferred repairer, & I was so happy I gave them all of my cars.

The S2000 is 2001, 40,000 kilometers & mint. I drive it about 4500Km a year these days. Shannons agreed value $26,000 for $800. The TR7 is very cheap at less than $300, & the others are quite OK, if not cheap.

Coles was quite a bit cheaper, but no agreed value, or choice of repairer, & they won't insure the TR7 or TR8.
