I'd vaccum the car again and use them aersol bombs. I had this problem during my engine rebuild 2 summers ago. I left a 1/2 drank coke can in the car and forgot about it for months. When I put her back together and went to start it i got raided. I just vacuumed and used that auto dispensing spray bomb thingo. Let the car air out the next day.
Also look around where you park the car the ants came from some where. Best way to kill ants around the house they sell this bait/poison that you feed them and they take it back to their queen and the colony dies within weeks.
