I've created an exe for everyone to use, but I can't upload it as an attachment either (it in zip format and 37kB).
Anyone know what I need to do?

Here is the program and instructions. You will still need to download a copy of the labview run time engine 8.0.1 to get program to work.
-Copy LOADING.KWI from original navigation DVD to C:\some location\
-Run AU_BMP_Mod.exe
-Browse to “Original Bootloader File” (C:\some location\LOADING.KWI)
-If using V12 disc “Search Type” = “Quick”, Not sure what will happen with other versions. Preview of original image should appear.
-Browse to “New Bitmap”. Note file format requirements
-Hit “Modify”
-Hit “Exit”
-Create a CD/DVD with original root directory files from original navigation DVD, replacing LOADING.KWI with C:\some location\LOADING.KWI
-Insert into Navigation unit
-Start the car, and hold Map/Guide, Menu, and Cancel for 5 seconds.
-Hit the "Version" button on the touch screen
-Hit the "Load Disc" button on the Version screen.
-Navigation Unit will load the new firmware and reboot
-Take out your burned CD/DVD and put back the original navigation DVD
Enjoy

just wondering is there a way to revert back to the old splash screen if we do change it to whatever we want?
Kodak

to revert back, just put in your original disk and follow the last set of instructions from "insert into navigation unit"

HELP - Pressing Menu Map/Guide Cancel does nothing for me!
When are you supposed to press it? Turn on car, splash screen appears, then the warning with the OK button appears. When do I press/hold the buttons?
Kodak

press and hold all three. I think you can do it at any time, but to be sure hit the ok button first.

My bad, the buttons are set up, menu, and cancel. And you don't need to press the ok button ;-)

OKAY i think DVD/CD +R cant be read because I burnt it onto a CD -R (whatever files would fit onto the cd) and it worked!

Hi Kodak,
I've got a 2003 Accord CM2 wagon (JDM) and I have a couple of factory navi DVDs, (the orange original and the blue update) but I not had any success trying to copy. I've used two different D/L burners, Verbatim D/L +R disks, Roxio and the latest Nero and so far i've made 5 coasters that appear to have all the files but will not load in the car.
I bought the navi disks from Yahoo auctions in japan via a friend - they work in the car perfectly but of course japanse language, maps, etc.
There are lots of these imported cars in NZ and most arrive without the DVD, so I'd like to make a few available.
Could you detail please the process that you use to copy the disks?
Also would you be interested in selling me one of your copies? - it would be interesting to see if it works in a JDM car (I assume your disk is the Australian market version)
