it's on the right hand panel where the dash dimmer is located, it used to blink when I locked it now it's on all the time only if I turn to stage 2 it'll go off, alarm does not go off any more, does not sound when armed/dis-armed; used to beep.

Is it by any chance a Viper,
Im not sure if it is the same with other alarms but with my alarm you can switch it to "vallet mode" much just means it will only lock and unlock via the pager. If it is then put the key into the ignitionjm turn it on but don't crank it and then press Lock, unlock and then lock (or is the other way around) and that will turn it back to normal.. unless there is a vallet button on your alarm. and it should go back to normal.

yea then it is definitely in Vallet mode, If that doesn't work call up your local alarm specialist with your model number and ask for the sequence

it shouldnt have the light still on when in vallet mode. i run a viper too but it doesnt have the alarm light staying on. try what sassy said and if it dont work try disconecting the battery and leaving it off for a while so things reset. but if your running a back up battery on your viper system this will take a long time and might not work.

yes it did the trick, my alarm system is back to its old self again, it's good to hear the arm - dis arm again, oh how I missed it. I think I activated it with the keys out of the ignition, I do recall me lock - unlock and lock again at coles, but nevertheless it's back thanks sassy
