Hey so umm... i've noticed that on other cars, refilling the REAR water spray reservoir is pretty simple.. (find where the reservoir is.. and fill it with water.. ) i've looked in a few places for mine in the back of my dc2 vtir.. but can't seem to find it.. i'm either looking in the wrong spots, or am a little blind.. can any1 help me here? lol, where is the reservoir, and why, doesn't it want me to find it. cheers

isn't it the the same reservoir ? ie the one under the bonnet ?

well.. i've refilled the front one on several occassions.. but after a while the rear jet just wouldn't spray anymore... if i had the owner's manual this'd be so much easier.. anyone got links for an online version?

Pretty sure the reservoir is the same on under the bonnet, I've stripped the rear of my car and there's nowhere else it could be.

In your case just refill your reservoir and switch it on for a while to let the water travel from the reservoir all the way to the jet.

thanks guys.. i was obviously oblivious to the fact that holding the thing over for a while would eventually pump the water out. i'd seen 'rear' reservoirs in other cars and had wondered if it was the same for me. goes to show how often i use it. cheers

Ive had the same problem with my jets not using any water even though the resivoir is full. Is it a faulty mechanism or fuse or something?

sorry for the thread steal but this will help others in the same boat

Its the same reservoir, check the lines running to the squirter, probably blocked over time like mine are.

yes they are the same. May just need a pin to poke into the hole to unclog it.
Its a normal thing

i had this problem as well on my dc2....

After a lengthy search.. I found that the piping running to the rear jet had come out from the sprayer... So every time i tried to use my rear spray, my boot would begin to fill with water

So just check to see it hasn't come apart from the nozzle, apart form that, everyone else has pretty much said what you can do...

so my spray thing worked once right, after thinking it wasn't working anymore.. and now its not working again.. sigh. where does the line run thru? driver side or passenger side? lol, i don't wanna get water on my amps and stuff in the boot. >_<

I have no idea where it runs sorry.. I just bought the car about a month and a half ago and was wondering why the back spray didnt work.. Then one day when changing a tire i saw it sitting in the bottom of the boot, Gave it a try and saw the boot get sprayed with water.... I would like to run it back up to the jet if possible, So if anybody knows where it runs... please post up :)

are you all saying prick the actual jet or like from where it goes in to the engine bay

i tried dislodging the black knob at the top back end of the car where the spray comes out to see if i could check for any loose connections.. but in fear of breaking it have left it be after a few twists. My boot isn't filling up with water yet.. but seeing as it started then stopped all of a sudden is kinda weird..

In my situation its the hoseing that runs through the car and into the hatch lid to the rear jet... That hose has come disconnected from the rear jet.... Havnt really tried taking the rear jet out yet... waiting till holidays to get all the dirty work done....
