Hi i just recently got a integra vti-r 1999 model. I found the cd player is broken along with the two back speakers.

Im looking at the 184 dollars from the pioneer combos

Any recommendation?

my budget is around 250 for the player+ back speakers.

and btw does anyone knows if the 6" will fit into my car without any cutting?

Thanks guys.

I wouldn't get a pioneer head unit, they Are known for there floating ground and noise issues, to be honest I would seriously rather get a jvc head unit and speakers which is doable for that price better yet go alpine for the head unit atleast, I have worked in many car audio shops both selling pioneer and others that refuse to touch that shit

$168 alpine+usb port @ supercheap auto
OR

At the end of the day the remote isn't anything major since ur hand is like a foot away from the stereo lol, wat u should decide between now is which u think looks better, pretty sure they will both have rotary volume so that's good and for example are you gonna run amps? What kind of outputs does each unit have also inputs?? But I know the alpines have full iPod control with the extra cable but jvc might also, u see where I'm going

i think i will go with the alpine head unit but for the speakers im in the dilema. I was told sony is crap.

So im narrowing between these two brands and specific model:
Fusion encounter 200Watt $75
http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Fusion-Encounter-Speakers-6-5-3-Way-200W-EN-FR6530.aspx?pid=213412#details

and
Kenwood 300 watt $89 from jb hi-fi while @ supercheap its 110
http://www.jbhifi.com.au/car-sound-gps-navigation/speakers/

here im thinking whats the benefiting of watt higher watt? and also i have heard fusion is a better brand

im intended to get a subwoofer in the near future.
