JDM ep3r key cutting?

hey guys, well i bought my car with only one key and now i really needa get a copy of it.
However i asked if Honda can do it, they said they cant because they have no record of program codes for the ep3r as they have never sold it here, in addition i also asked my local locksmith and they said for me to get a copy of the key but i needa find the key codes and only then can program the key. But i dont know what my key code is. and i tried my manual for the code but its all in japanese, lol owned.

Is your car a facelift or prefacelift?

PFL shouldn't have factory immobilisor so you don't need to have your new key coded. locksmith should be able to cut a new key for you.

if your car is FL, Honda dealer should be able to reprogram the whole car + all keys with new codes but that'll be costly.

Mine is the pre face lift so that means i can just cut it without reprogramming then? wow thanks alot. :D

i think so. locksmith should be able to cut you a new key with your existing one.

yes ive got a couple of cut keys for my car, just that i have a separted chip in the keychain so it enables my immobiliser

just went to the locksmith and got the key cut,
