you should reconsider and get the new fn2 mugen its quicker and better than the old fn2s plus the GTI's got nothing on the ep3.. r32 is way to heavy for a hatch back..

like a EP3R - a gti is a great daily car.But throw the money into the chip + exhaust route and you will start spending big on failing gearbox , drivetrain etc.

manual has no problem. DSG should handle an IHE + reflash (aka stage 2) without drama. any more (eg bigger turbo, injectors etc etc) then it becomes unknown but a few DSG cars in the state with high mods seems to be fine.

Johno true but if you talk to a honda dealer there's a chance you can pick one up but its not cheap.. Ive seen two near my area also a Fd2 mugen.. If anyone is a true Honda enthusiast they would find a way to get the best of its kind if they can afford it..
the potential also is pretty high in the fn2. Get a cold air intake, exchaust and remap that your killing it.. but you need the $$$

from what i heard 55 included the whole package drive away no more to pay kind of deal..

I can say without a doubt that the power gains are not just the header after running hearder with stock b-pipe then having the b-pipe uprgaded to 2.5"

Any type of bigger b-pipe than stock one make stock muffler very farty. I have used 2.5 and 3.0 with stock muffler. Low speeds and cruise is good. WOT, nothing but fart, especially with the 3.0 straight mid pipe.

I have seen a cross section cut out somewhere and it showed that th ep3 has smaller muffler internals than the audm dc5 equivalent. Best OEM was shown to be JDM dc5 and audm dc5s. This is only from visual exhaust cutouts and not from hard dyno runs. It kinda makes sense since the ep's muffler is alot more compact than the dc5's.

You can basically get it at any auto store like supercheap or autobarn. Meguiars also have a couple of wheel cleaners like for chrome or alloy wheels.
Just make sure its acid free/painted wheel safe so it doesnt stain and make your white wheels look yellow. I prefer Mothers because its a slightly larger bottle but both brands are equally good.

Agreed. When they hear the word "import", they immediately deny you.

Once I was asking if Blacktown Honda could quote me a price on the o2 sensor. I told them I have an imported Civic TYPE R and told them I need the same o2 primary sensor as the DC5R.

Without even trying to look up the part for DC5R 02 sensor, (In a fobby accent) they told me they can't help me because I don't have a valid VIN no. So I was thinking in my mind, is it that hard to do a manual search for an o2 sensor in a DC5R??? Once I was asking if Blacktown Honda could quote me a price on the o2 sensor. I told them I have an imported Civic TYPE R and told them I need the same o2 primary sensor as the DC5R.

3 guys, Couldn't really tell but they looked middle eastern/aussie by the time they saw me they jumped in the car and took off, 1 bloke was chubby build other was skinny, didn't see the driver, they came in a Holden Commodore

I too fel the same....until we walked from shinjuku to shibuyq ( or around there) - there is lines and lines of custom mens apparel shops.a fave was a hand made leather shoes and belts/ bags shop in some tiny high-rise shopping block. Very stylish. You just gotta keep walking and looking

yeah I did, saw a few nicely tuned sti hatchies at mt fuji and autobacs had afew cars. saw heaps of nsx's and fn2r with the mugen add ons but it sounded legit pretty nice though, majority of the high end luxury cars I saw came out on sunday like the 458!
If you went to tokyo-teleport where the dfo shopping centre is just around it is surrounded by a toyota testing track pretty awesome when they were testing the LFA. so i guess i saw heaps :) and i shouldve done a thread on japan too but never gotten around to it...

Hi Guys,

Im looking to buy an EP3 soon, just wondering is there is a thread on things to watch out for with this model. This will be my 5th Honda and aside from general wear and tear issues they have all been pretty good except for an EF Civic SI that got smokey at low kms :(

pretty standard stuff watch out for noise in the steering, engine mounts etc.
