Hey Guys,

Just wondering if anyone could assist.

I want to change my steering wheel in my del sol.

Does anyone know, if I unplug the SRS cable under the drivers seat, this will disable the airbag to deploy, allowing me to take the OEM steering wheel off without worry?

All feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob

No, if you want to take off a steering wheel, disconnect your battery and flick the key to accessories (to discharge the system), then leave your car for 1/2 hour before you play with the airbag otherwise it could blow up in your face.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the plug under the driver's seat is for the seatbelt warning light.

Hey,

Thanks man.

Does anyone know another way of just disabling the airbag all together?

Yes, by disconnecting power and making sure it's discharged, as stated above.
