Hey guys quick question, i have the opportunity to buy a T25 from a R33 GTR that has been rebuilt off a mate at a great price, i just want to know if this turbo would be too small? Am i a lot better of saving up for a T28 or something else?
I have a VTiR B18C that has been rebuilt to handle a bit of boost.

From my research Ive read, not much diff between t25 and t28, t25 will restrict top end power, t25 would be fine for 1.8l, a lot of mixed reviews.

Thanks
V

way too small for a b18. It will be very restrictive once vtec hits.

Just rem that there are alot of different classes of T28s
T28 is a T25 flange/housing with T3 internals, making it a T28.

Either go GT2860RS (at least) or full ball GT3071R, don't even waste your time with a T25

There is actually a sizable difference in the T2X turbos, on an SR20 - I'm a nissan boy, sorry :P

T25 (from CA18) will max out at around 150rwkw
T25g (from s13 SR20) at about 160-170
T28 (bush bearing, S14/15) about 190
T28 (ball bearing JDM S14/15) 205-210

This graph may come in handy..

that is true the GTR T25 is smaller agian because it runs twins it wasnt until the later verions ran the N1's which were basically T28's

You only missed one thats the T28 off the GTiR it was the largest T28 put onto a factory car by nissan and ran the .86 rear same as the 2871R :)

I T28 will increase power. The Differance between a t28 and a t04 will be like licking a 9v battery and licking a spark plug lead

a T25 from a GTR is not the same as a T25 from a ca18det.
as GTR turbos have a smaller rear housing.
so its even smaller..
to put things in perspective. I was going to put one of these on a 3 cyl 1 litre motor... lol

get a t28, its a good cross between power and response.

I have a T28 on my 1.6 CRX and it is fine, wouldn't go any smaller.
