thought id share with everyone my toy . running a honed/decked block , stock crank , acl race series bearings , scatt h22a h-beam forged rods , custom off set dished JE pistons , pro seal rings , arp stud kit , cometic 0.050" 5 layer MLS head gasket , c/r 8.0:1 , port/polished head , heavier valve springs , aem cam gears , gates racing timing belt , modifed manifold ( opened up inside ) rc 650cc injectors , sard FPR , custom over sized fuel rail , custom turbo manifold , turbonetics GTK450 turbo , turbosmart 38mm wastegate , single 3" stainless exhaust to 45'/ cannon dump pipe , large FMIC , 3ltr surge tank , walbro 255lph lift pump , adaptronics e420c ecu , turbosmart type3 supersonic bov , turbosmart eboost 2 ebc , custom half roll cage , accord side skirts , modifed front bar , etc etc . things to come new 1991 s2 3g prelude with 5 speed , ncp 500+ hp clutch kit , k-sport kontrol pro coilovers , whiteline front sway bar/strut brace , 94 vtir calipars+slotted rotors , goodridge braided brake lines , bosch 044 main pump , and just a few other small things .

yeah has been a intense 12 months . i had it running on 10psi with the auto in it and it suprised alot including myself , yeah the mower is part of my team honda in the shed . you want to see the wipersniper lol

thanks guys , colour is an motorspray orange ( engine enamel ) + primer . got from a automotive shop up here . never got it dyno'd want to dyno it on 30psi with a 5pseed . what whp i want and what i get are 2 different things . with stock cams im going to say between 400-450 whp . i want over 500+whp without nitous . next year i'll look at getting a custom regrind done . finished to cover and compres housing

cant wait to get home . hoping the timing belt and new cam gears are there . also since the sump has a splash of orange on it the dump pipe is very close , might have to wrap it on tha weekend . either ither there will be some progress on the weekend .

na stuff all lag concidering . should be less since i got number 1,3 inlet valves fixed . lag was from 3000-4200rpm then FULL NOISE my friend . and that was with the auto ? . its only a 1/4 mile warrior . so some lag is alright . thanks anyway dude .

He has yet to add a Gates Racing belt or 2, and he's also changing those adjustable cam gears for a pair of 5 bolts AEM's.

todays progress . need to file down the washers so they are nice and neat . got the drift oil filter as they were out in the k&n . exzactly the the same filter as both are magnetic and have some double filtration / micron ? and only running the best oil as it is race proven . and lucky last the dump pipe is that close to the sump the oil must boil ? not anymore . the cam gears are a special order from A.E.M. and the supplier will have them by the end of the month and then they will ship them .

cam gears will be here at the start of next month , waiting on A.E.M. to make them and ship . i'll have my bonus from work then and on the hunt for a 2s 90-91 3gen body to house this beast . getting close now fella's .;):cool:;):cool:

replaced front and rear main seals today . reseal up engine , added oil and turned over by hand first and then with high torque drill , have good oil pressure and flow from the oil feed line and good compression in all cylinders and NO LEAKS !!!!!!!! . all thats needed is install new cam gears and gates belt and engine is completed and ready to go . now time for gearbox/clutch and lsd .

na the auto is fine NOTHING wrong with !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it handled 10psi fine . if i was keeping the auto i would be installing a mfactory trans ecu for full programable shifting , stall convertor from dominator and large trans cooler with its only fan , and of course a LSD . but even with all that done there is no garantee it will handle 500+ fwhp . yet custom dog gear set / NCP soild button clutch with 1200kg pressure plate , FIDANZA Aluminum-Flywheel , helicol LSD on a 5 speed and there is light at the end of the tunnel with 30psi on the dial . well thats what is happening to the gearbox and driveline . but the auto still works fine and is still sitting in tha shed .

yeah pacster the auto has it own little ecu which is piggybacked to the main ecu . once i put the standalone ecu in i only had control over 2nd-3rd and overdrive . the 5 speed and full control .

thanks everyone . not much has been happening atm . buying a house so tha lude is on the back burner for abit , but no dout i'll get it done soon . still waiting for my new cam gears to arrive . all engine mounts are now soild filled with 252 . and polished the inlet outside and in . going to buy my flywheel next week and thats about it for abit . thanks again everyone and i cant wait to finish this monster and give out some awesome number from the dyno and strip .

but would look even better at 30psi !!!!!! another productive day , got the new power steer line in , 3 bar map sensor , sard FPR , eboost 2 solenoid , took some parts from the gold lude and installed front slotted brakes with the orange and my old grey rims , which i think go really nicely with the white and orange .

todays effort , wired in all the plugs for the ecu , started on vac lines , re-located driver termo to the front of the radiator for hot pipe clearance , replaced heater hose's , modified the stock renforced bar and mounted the aftermaket front bar with all the stock mounting brakets . very happy with todays effort . even had the wife and kids helping me .

have about an hour worth of soldering to do might do that late this afternoon when its abit cooler , all thats needed id half metre of fuel line , metre of trans/oil cooler hose , wire up igniter , re-time with manual fly , battery and we should have fire in tha hole !!!!!!! well start and run nicely !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .

BREAKING NEWS !!!!!!!!!!!

it lives again !!!!!!!! has a bad vaccum leak in the manifold , ive pin pointed it around the butterfly plate that i chopped and opened up , it start's easier than i thought but once its fired up into life it rev'd it's arse out to 4000rpm-5500rpm . so i have 2-3 spare manifolds and will fix it up and i have a roll of gasket paper which i will make 2 new gaskets tomorrow , but im so relieved that to cranks over very easily , heap of oil pressure , good fuel pressure . i need request's from people so the missis will get some video footage of it with a few quick HOT laps !!!!!! . did i forget to mention that it starts and im so so ssssssssssoooooooo happy .

only a few things , need to change out the o-ring on the water pipe from the water pump , cleaned up the wires at the front , relocated the coil and reinstalled the idel control valve . might start the whole respray thing next week .

well i got an email from glen at ZOOM magazine and they want some high res pics and a short spec about the lude for there IN THE BUILD section , wohoo !!!!! so i finished the rear light section , quickly sprayed some white on the front bar and took some pics . came up alright but im now more than ever keen to respray the lude and finish the inside . here is what i email them . i think it looks pretty damn good and much better than the marron one !!!!!

the boot is pretty much done , just have to put the battery box in with vent tubes to the underneath , trim down the sub box and mount on the pass side and run new battery cable from boot to bay . noticed a little oil leak from the tapper cover , 99% sure its the gasket , but its the other cover i had spare and only cut the front part so the cam gears wouldnt hit , only for rwc so i'll drop the cut down one off to brad at stainless to weld up adaptor nipples for the x2 -10 fitting for the breather hose's to the catch can , and try and give the cover abit more breathing from pccp . and degrease / wash the oil leak . cant do much more as its been raining all morning .

well got a motivation kick and decieded to finish the shifter , plus matched the paint code and got some white and going to spray the side skirts white and see how they come out , alot of people have said they will look better white than black .

and todays efforts , only have to bolt down battery box and run and connect earth lead , plus everyone has been telling me to paint the side skirts the same colour white as the lude and well they were right it looks some much cleaner and gives the lude size and really shows the skirts off , its been very cloudy and pooring rain all day so the pics are fairly crappy will try and get some when it clear's up , only have 2-3 more things to get and i should be all good for roadworthy and mod plates , have a mate coming over thursday arvo to fab up the air filter shroud . not long now SO EXCITED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well the battery relocate is finished and i couldn't be more happier with it , and boy does the starter get some current doesnt struggle at all and getting around 14v by the gauge and turbo timer , it has awesome earth and battery is in its own cradle in the battery box .

damn alternator , bottom bolt keeps coming off .

woho look what got dropped over today , have to reroute the head light motor wires and the over flow hose's , but dame he done a nice job , he has marked out the lid and he's going into work tomorrow to cut and shape it to fit and seal . i will go to midway metals on monday and buy a mtr lenght of 4" stainless pipe and a tight 90 and he will measure it up and tig it all up for me , so all i need is a K&N pod with a 4" outlet . it will be fully sealed for RWC but as soon as its reg the lid will come off and then only act as a heat sheild and give the inlet more air . but i think it came up pretty nice .

just finished the mod so the overflow hose can still be mounted on its origanial point , rerouted the headlight motor harness and relay , all im waiting on is the lid to return for a test fit and then the 4" pipe tigged on and new pod filter .

What a beautiful motor setup! Incredible man, and at 30psi I can only imagine the sounds that are going to come out of this!!

Do you mind if I'm completely honest though? The orange absoutely kills the look IMO. If everything was a clean black and white, it could look so much neater. But that's just my opinion! No hate! :) You obviously like the look, so stick with it!

there only on there for roadworthy , im getting a new set of k-sport kontrol pro's . but i must say the springs are much stiffer than stock's and feel great with the little amount of driveway to road .

I'm chasing 325fw kw out of mine at 22psi at 9:1.. Looks like it should be entirely possible!
Hopefully i'll have mine finished and ready to hit the dynapak in about a months time! =D

good luck with yours dude , sounds like a nice setup , with the custom dished JEPistons and the 5 layer 0.050" cometic MLS head gasket we have a static C/R of 8.0:1 which we can feed alot of boost in there , the only thing thats going to let it down is the 38mm W/G but it has the larger 14psi spring installed , if it does hold up to the job than a turbosmart 50mm pro gate with 14psi spring will take its place . we are looking at road tuning it in the next month all it needs is a new front windscreen which will be going in next week , a qld transport mod plate with the x3 codes and the a RWC and shes on the road and a road tune , then start of september should have the coil pacs in and then put her on the dyno for its big boost run with the new 880cc injectors . see what happens i guess ? does any one feel like giving this some reputation points ? haha

I'm using a 38mm Wastegate too, 11psi spring.
Hopefully it holds up, but it should be fine.. Guess i best play close attention to the Boost Gauge when the time comes, and make sure i'm not getting any uncontrolled Boost at high RPM!
880cc, big! I've opted for 750's.. Seen RC's flow charts for various sizes and 750s seem to retain a good flow at idle.. Whereas any larger start to get patchy, i need this to act like a normal car hehe.

turbosmart informed me that the 38mm with 14psi spring with the eboost2 EBC should get 30psi with out alot of problems ? with 880cc we can get to that magic 500fwhp mark , was looking at 1000cc but to big and will be hard to get a nice idle , i think you click the little star under my username on a post ? not really sure ? i just clicked onto yours and yeah . owell new windscreen booked in for next friday 22nd and have to get a few other little things aswell . not long now .

Need to focus on your power goals, it's easy to become wound up in the "I need a bigger this, and i need 10 more of that!" mindset
If you have a goal, and your current *insert part name* will suffice (even if only just) then leave it be.. You can always upgrade at a later stage for that extra few ponies.. Most important thing is to get the car completed and sort the bugs out.. And then you can tweak and upgrade imo

na not really dude , as id1000 are more expensive i decided that since e85 is the fuel for the 30psi tune the indyblues just made sense . they have a nice low pulse width aswell so i get to keep my factory idle , which im happy with . and cheap they were like $408 posted to my door .

thanks everyone , been abit bussy lately . buying a new car for the family etc etc . the tuner is coming around tomorrow lunch time to sort out the base tune and get it going and idling nicely before we road tune it , hoping to have rego on it in the next month or 2 ? and give it a good road tune and then off to the dyno with the big e85 30psi tune . im just waiting to here back from a bloke in the U.S. about a nitious express wet kit he has for sale , very cheap and will be a nice addition to the setup . hoping it all works out and have plumbed in for the big dyno tune . should have some footage tomorrow night .

ok starting to get this thing ready for the strip on sat night , just waiting on a mate to lend me his 1/2 " tap for the male fitting and then the catch can will be up and running with 10AN fittings and 5/8 oil/air rated hose , if there was any blowby it its now gone !!!!!!!!!!!!!! . and then sat day start preping the lude , dump the gearbox oil and add new oil and get ready for a interesting night and as always there will be photos and video footage for everyone to see . just hope it goes all smoothly ?

we took the lude to the strip on sat night to tune but rain'd out , and the sunday morning went down to a private property to finish the tune . im not giving out what times it ran but i will post the times for next weekends run down the strip . we have a set of 15" rims with some nice high wall tyres so hoping it will hook up in 2nd as the 235/45/17 smoked 1st/2nd and 3rd

from the log you will see the run from 1st gear to 2nd and then full throttle to 6150 rpm . im very interested in doing this log once rego and on the road in 4th gear and see the difference . but i def know its got over 400hp as the clutch slips in 4th gear full throttle . i dont believe this at all !!!!!!!! so im not going around blowing wind up that i have 478 fwhp and 597 nm torque . but damn that sound's cool

finished installing the x2 button switch's which are now working as ground switchs for the eboost2 to manually control my boost groups ( ie: boost by gear ) . top switch searchs up in the set points , and bottom searchs down the set points . i love it as i now have full control over my 5 set points . which is SP1 14psi (WG spring pressure) SP2 18psi , SP3 22psi and SP4 30psi and with the ground switch wired into the ecu for change between map1 and map2 (E85). its as easy as switching to SP4 (30psi) and to map2 (E85) !!!!!!!!!!! FUN TIMES ahead . :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

engine alone has cost me $18000 . it would be well over the 20K if you pay'd someone to build it . i could spend an easy $2000-$3000 on over size valve work and really get it breathing but its breathing strong at the moment with all the port work . alot of the parts had to be custom made as noone make's them as a aftermaket off the shelf part , so when i sell it i hope the new owner understands this but all the major parts a well known big brand name so nothing should break . ive just modified the oversize fuel rail to a twin feed and installed EFI clamps through out , now the indy blues are getting even fuel flow .

Also 'scuse another noob question. How does the knock sensor, sense when it's knocking?

yeah return line in the middle of the rail almost pointing downwards . a knock sensor reads engine noise , its like a microphone for a engine and the ecu only reads a certain frequency which is believed to be level for when knock ( detonation ) accures . here is a read up . my XR6T sensor only cost $10 with plug and bolt , and the engine it came from looked very clean and looked after .

yeah but does your girlfriend have 3 kids to feed ? mortgage to pay ? school fee's ? my wife doesnt work and we all rely on my wage , so spending $10 on the lude in her eyes could go towards the house , paying off the new car , KIDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! . you'll relise this when there is more mouth's to feed , cloth , school , and when your girlfriend doesnt want to work and be a stay at home mum , you can pretty much say goodbye to the toys . im lucky as my job gives me a 6 figure salary and i had the lude before i meet her but has taken me over 7 years to get to its stage now and its a constant saving thing just to get a rwc and rego , let alone a dynotune . with the fuel rail its pretty straight forward , a twin feed rail will give a even amount of fuel to 4 hungry 1680cc injectors . AEM dont make a rail for the B20A6 , hents why i have a custom oversized factory rail . fuel system is as follows a walbro 255LPH lift pump , 3 ltr surge tank , walbro 255LPH inline push pump , inline 10 micron hiflow filter , twin feed oversize rail , x4 1680cc injectors . with both 255LPH combined should support 650-700 hp , more than enough for the 600FWHP im chasing .

i cant believe its that easy to get ur car registered in QLD...
here in VIC, ur car would have to be completely, if not as close to stock as possible to get a rwc b4 u could think about taking it to vicroads for rego....

and i dont understand how a registered mechanic/mod plater, can just mod plate ur car for the mods it has to be deemed safe n streetable (dnt take that last comment the wrong way, im sure ur car is safer than most others on the road)...

hope i am not being rude if i am very sorry, but is there a reason why you've chosen to tune it on is running on E10/91ron? how come not tuning to use at least 95ron? ive heard of cars being tuned n after fuel of choice is BP ultimate. besides e85 of course

just wanted to know what it would pull on crap fuel ? 437fwhp @ 20psi and factory 15 degree ignition is pretty impressive . but yes will be running 95ron on the street . lude will prob go on the dyno around sept to clean up the street tune and have the ignition wired in to the adaptronics and sorted as well as its 2nd drag map tuned on 30psi E85 . i prob will hit you up for some tips as my best mate will be coming up to help spray it as he has sprayed a few cars aswell .
