Just done DIY fuel filter replacement.
took me 1.5 hours including clean up and tidy up.
tips:
1. make sure you use ALL the O-ring provided
2. while you are replacing your filter, as well as replace the strainer on fuel pump
3. apply thin coat of oil on O-ring, make it easier to fit
4. do it step by step or take picture before dissemble the fuel filter
8. bought the fuel filter set at Burswood honda $90.
thanks for TomsFA5 for the DIY http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/engine/253450-diy-walbro-fuel-pump-new-improved.html
these some pictures inside the filter after 50k

i think so since we have to deal with the petrol. If you spill the petrol inside the car, the smell will stay for quite sometime.
Also I have checked many DIY videos, for me, it's not worth of risk. something wrong when we reinstall it, fire from your petrol tank. :p
$211 vs your car

It's not the cost saving, it's the learning experience.
If I can do it myself, or learn, I'd love to

^Good attitude. It's not exactly rocket science either, and you're not dealing fire and petrol in combination like this

as long as you don't smoke. The chances of you spilling are quite low if you're careful. Plus petrol smells nice anyway.. wait.. (am i allowed to say that?)

It's not the liquid that's dangerous, it's the vapor which iirc is much more volatile..
All it takes is a closed area and a dodgy flash light.

Un do your petrol cap and leave it for a while so there is no pressure and goes everywhere
curtis265

Yeah it's the vapour, hence why you don't smoke. Just keep the doors open and relieve the pressure as mentioned above and you should be fine
i don't think you'll even need a flashlight

How exxy?
$90 including the plastic harness connecting the tube and the filter ( we have to break it when we dissemble )
