Got my 2009 Civic Sport in for 40K service they are charging $531, call from the dealer saying the throttle needs decarbonizing and cleaning or something and the musty smell from the air conditioner (not noticed) needs an additive total cost $200 + GST I said no, is this normal and is it necessary.:thumbdwn:

This is what they wanna charge u 200 for.
And throttle decarbonising is money searching - take off the air airbox at it's connection at the throttlebody and look for yourself.

Theres a DIY too on 8thGenCivic which covers how to just buy a cheap airfilter and cut it to fit for the aircon. Have a search ther under DIY section.
I'm pretty sure mods removed my original link for you

Can anyone point me to the right direction where to get the cabin filter?

Like I said, you can go to any autostore and buy a generic one.
Pull your old one out (it's behind the glovebox - need to unclip the glovebox), and take it with you and you'll match a similar size.
or a honda Stealership.
I was reading that we share this part with the Accord - and that the accord part is far cheaper.
