OBD2a to OBD1 conversion - Help PLease

Hey just a little stuck here, I'm going to buy and OBD1 P2T Chip, and also a stepdown harness, I was just wondering if it is worth it? And do I have to use the P2T Chip? And to just double check my 1995 EK4 Vti-R is an OBD2a P2T? Thankss :)

Can't help with the first bit, but the 96 EK4 vtir I just picked up for its engine is OBD2a and the ecu (which is sitting right next to me) is definitely a P2T.

Any reason why you want that chip? Its not really mugen buddy

Yea I know, I just wanted it for the earlier vtec and launch control, it's just the harness is more than the chip lol
