Just wondering anyone here has them..

My opinion is that they don't handle too well in the wet... Had a good test with them and that's how I think.... :)

they came with the car when i bought it. so far they are ok. a little too noisy for my liking. i took them on the track and it took them a little while to turn shit, but overall im quite happy till i get a new set. and yes, they arent all that fantastic in the wet.

I have them on my civic, haven't noticed any problems with them. that said GLi isn't a performance car, cruising the streets i'm sure i am not getting anywhere near their limits.

i have these tyres on my car when i brought it and i think they are not a good tyre at all. for milage its great. i took it to the track and every turn it just scretches and does not grip. And im pretty sure they are made in Taiwan i think.

I personally would not buy them.:)

I have them too on the Crx. They are ok. Not the best grip in the dry or wet. However you get quite a few kms out of them.

i agree they are bloody noisy compared to the dunlop SP Sport 9000's i have on now

as for wet handling, well, when you first look at the tread, the big sweeping grooves suggest otherwise. i thought they handled in the wet so-so. may not entirely have been to the tyre alone cause my car was still at stock height (i was running 16's at the time)

btw my F1's were made in thailand. there are 2 types of F1's (to my knowledge) GS-D2 (my ones), and GS-D3. The GD-D3's are made in germany (?) and won MOTOR mag tyre comparo a few yrs ago

I am rather surprised that the handling of the tyres in the wet is much worst than the OEM Dunlops that came with the car... The car was just sliding out of control in the carpark when I was testing the grip on the wet.....

I think silverstone tyres are better than f1s, only becuase they offer the same grip and cost less :). Wonder why they dont make f1s anymore. Well i suppose the car i have them on is going to have the crap thrashed out of it to get rid of them. If you want a decent tyre, bests ones i ever drove on were Michelin (excuse spelling) pilots, but at nearly 300 a pop for one tyre they ought to be

i agree with all posts above. GE F1 is the worst tyre i have had the displeasure of using on my R.

I still think it is an alright tyre. It's just a bit of a trade off and what do you want? If you want good wear and average grip, then this tyre is good. If you want good grip and not so much worried about wear, then get another tyre.
