just wanting to know if there is a recommended alarm system for my honda civic. are they all the same? and does remote start only work on automatics. cheers

Id personally recommend a viper security system.

Ive had it on my civic in the past, my mates had it on his prelude, and ive seen other hondas use it and its a great system.

Remote start will work on a manual (the viper one actually comes with a device that lets you start the car, even if its in gear), but it is illegal.

I got my 650x somethin unit for under $250 at autobahn on a good day

Shop around can get them for reasonable prices.

where u from, i can get u viper 791vx for around $450 , 800esp for bout $350
prices are real low..
