Car's main relay was playing up last month - so the mrs pretty much killed the battery trying to start a car with no fuel pressure
So it got jump started but never had it in a deep cycle recharge - so it was only a matter of time
Besides the battery was 4 1/2 years old

Also the other day my starter took a dump on me before i had to leave for work
I pulled it out - god it was a bitch to remove
And the motor spins fine in the starter
But the solenoid is buggered


Also i may have found the cause for my random CEL
I think i have a leaking windscreen, the other day I drove the car after a night of rain
In the passenger footwell where the ecu sits
Was very damp and a bit wet
So another project to fix

Starter is fun for sure

I had to take mine out so many times I could swap it bloody quick lol

Easiest I found was to take the battery out with its holder, and then the starter

Just put the 'new' one in (second hand oem)
The one that failed was an aftermarket one - typical
Just a bitch to get the back (closer to fire wall) bolt out, not much room to work with between the bolt and engine mount
And you're working kinda blind lol
I did take out the battery and intake to make more room

Though it starts really quick now, like 1/4 of a second

Well it pays off to continuiously scour gumtree for 'honda accord' everyday lol
I got it for $2400
She wouldn't go any lower
And it's in really good condition
Bar a few little things that need attention

Already changed/fixed
-Valve cover gasket
-Power steering fluid
-Spark plugs
-Throttle body clean
-Throttle cable adjustment
-Fix radiator fan wiring


Next up
