Touchy brakes....I agree to that somewhat, but it's something that can easily be controlled. I think if it wasn't for the 'touchy' brakes in the Euro, I would have ran over a cat 2 nights ago.

You guys see the pic of the engine in that review? It has a black cover!? Ours is silver with red VTEC lettering.
"Honda's Accord Euro Luxury model also features HID head lights complete with squirters to the clean the front lamps, but they're pretty useless against anything but dust. I figure it's another one of these 'luxury' appointments Honda added just to give the Germans the irrits."
Ermmmm....aren't all cars equipped with HIDS meant to have washers?!?!

The auther got this wrong, The reason for Headlamp washer is to comply with ADR (aust design rule). Car fitted with HID must have headlamp washer.. Dont ask me why?
Otherwise, very well written review.

i knew how good the euro was when it first came out and this guy took a luxury one to eastercreek raceway and was lapping in the low 2min mark. You gotta have a handling car to be able to do that.
Very impressive........only gf's parents got a auto

nice review to read.
Very pleasing to see that there's hardly a single bad thing about the Euro. :D
It'd be even better if I had 05 model, but it's no big deal.

Euro Lux and some other car have the washer jets hidden under a small cover on front bumper just in front of headlights.
While some cars have the washer jet mounted in front of headlights eg. S2000, Lexus previous GS300, 1st Generation ES300
With Euro, When u have headlights or parking lights turned on, when u activate windscreen washer and wiper, the headlight washer will activate at the same time.
Some cars have a separate switch for it. eg. 1st Generation ES300

Another Great review...
Just what we wanted.. More ppl to join the bandwagon & purchase the Accord Euro's... We got ourselves indeed a Eurodore...
PS. To comply with ADR, cars with HID's have to either have Headlight Washers or Auto leveling on their lights...
That is why u don't see Headlight Washers on Holdens cars that have HID... Bcoz i think they have Auto Leveling on their lights..

correction: they need both washers/auto-levelling
Completely agree to the touchy brake issue. But because its a sports/luxury sedan its a very delicate balance. To me the Euro has always been a luxury car and hence a bit less sensitive brakes for comfort.
Weirdly, if my Euro had my Type R brakes I would be more happy. :)

Well I just ordered my own black auto Lux, eta 2-3 weeks from now; please see introductions [Hello everyone!].
At first I was dead set on a manual [I heel toe my current 02 Civic VI hatch] but they only had autos available for testing. Boy was I surprised; I reckon the auto is one sweet unit and I was quite impressed with how it worked. So I had a strong look at what constitutes 80% of our driving and found that I was going to give the auto a shot.
Before you call me a wuss: Car's also got a towbar, so all I need now is a bike trailer and I'll be able to take my GSXR600K4 down to Phillip Island in extreme comfort. :)
Back to the topic, I've looked at euros since they got released and must admit that the sheer number of them is probably the biggest argument against buying one, if that makes any sense at all. The rims of the 05 will help set it apart, though, also there aren't too many black ones. In my eyes the black 05 lux is one fantastic looking vehicle.
The updated webwombat review was a great read and I'm really quite looking forward to taking delivery of our new car.

well i guess it makes you feel less special... but hey the more popular they are they more parts will become available and the quicker you can start making your euro unique again. Even changing the wheels gets a bit of attention - in my area still there aren't many 'done up' euros.
Can't blame ppl really its a great car.

Okay so if u have HID you have to have Headlight Washers and Auto Levelling...
So how come that doesn't apply to Holdens?? Because i'm sure they don't have squitters on their HID eqquiped cars or do they???

from memory i don't think they do.
few cars have the HID's, some off the top of my head are the typical european cars; merc, bmw, honda has em on a few now, mazda on a few, nissan..
come to think of it.. i don't think Ford or Holden have any standard. I think it would look weird on the cars.. unless it was a monaro.. or a hsv make ;) then it'd be sexy *drools*

Correct, no Holden or Ford has HID's, but i think the HSV coupe may have them as spot lights (that can only be turned on when you have your high beam on aswell) go figure, how dumb i that? $1000 lights that get used once in a blue moon, what a waste

Ahh got ya...
Holden's just have Projector lamps and not HID's... But they do give that HID look...
My mistake there guys....
