Well, today at 3 i decided it was time for a bit of DIY remedials... so i talked to |N| about DIY headlights, and found it'd take around 4 hrs to do :thumbdwn: so i went to autobarn to get the stuff i'd need to do it tomorrow...

while there, a little can of "High Temp Engine Enamel" in Bright Red jumped out at me... i was like " hrmmmmm"... so i got it, and some maskin tape...

2 hrs later, after a lot of masking and spraying the end product was this:

It's meant to look that glossy, and tomorrow i'll be sanding the HONDA back to ssssssssssilver so it looks better... i'll take some more pics tomorrow in the light, but atm, my hands are red and dirty lol... I'll be getting rid of the lil bit of red on the cam cover too... :) PEACE

thnx guys :)

Looking forward to see the final results. After you sand back the letters/bolts are you going to give them a touch up with silver paint?

am debating that... i've got some black paint for my DIY Headlights tomorrow  maybe that could work...

but i think just engine silver will look great cos it'll be all shiny.... but maybe silver will be teh way :p

NOOO dont sand back to silver! Paint the honda part white i reckon, it'll look sweet. If you really want to sand something then sand the bolts and washers lol

thnx alan... and mugen, i'll be takin it back to silver then most likely hand painting the HONDA white... as the car is white it'll look sooo smooth

the original cover of the valve cover was a silvery colour so its gotta be taken back to stock eventually... which looks like a dark silver..

but eventually white... gimme time lads... gimme time :p

personally i like the wrinkle one, but seeing as i live at home i dont think the old bird would appreciate me sticking it in the oven lol. you think maybe just surround it with bar heaters would do the trick?

DONT SAND IT

the honda letters are normally polished so they look good, just use a razor blade to take the paint off, its easy to do..
same for the nuts and washers.. just scratch the paint off, sandpaper will make the finish all rough and it wont look neat.
