Does anyone know anything else about this part, like where it would go and whether or not it can be fitted with a lower arm bar like the cusco one in place?

Chris - it is a direct replacement for the OEM front sway bar - it doesn't matter if you have a lower arm bar or not. The front sway bar is already quite solid - not sure whether this will be a huge leap forward.

ah i see... i've never heard any reviews or even heard of the part before. Wondering if any members have tried it out

Chris, did you have your type 2 front lower arm bar fixed? or it is a write-off?

The reason there's little in the way of reviews for front sway bars is that in a front wheel drive car they promote extra understeer while reducing body roll. In effect it will reduce some of the benefit of your rear sway. Therefore most people will not bother with an increased front sway. If you want to reduce front body roll it should be done through suspension spring rate/damper settings.

Roger, the bar was a write off unfortunately... i'm reluctantly buying another one tho because i like what it did - ill just have to be extra careful this time round.

chris why dont u get a V1 bar? instead of the V2?
i got the V1 and it works really well
very happy with it

stephen the v2 bar is the same as v1 except for the two extra mounting points. as far as i can tell the lowest point is still the part that makes up the v1 bar. i dunno... 4 mounting points just seems better then 2.

yeah....it does seem like a more stable ride with the V2
but my V1, i installed it....and i also have the cusco front strut. very flat around corners now. flatter than b4. once i get my rear sawy, i should be able to corner like its on rails. lol
btw, did u have to modify ur catback with the V2 installation? cuz i remember somoene installing a V2 and there was a clanking sound when he turned the A/C on....which was a result of the V2 bar touching the catback?

The lower heat shield on the Catalytic Converter will impact the Type II bar. Therefore you either remove the heat shield or abuse the crap out of it like I did with a hammer then an angle grinder....had I used my brains a hacksaw would've been the tool of choice! :p
