Ok i have an LS, now my sister was complaining of my car smelling like dead socks... so i thought, "lets investigate!" I took out my passenger floor mat, it was wet, and so was the floor, so today i pull out the back seat so i can get out the carpet, and the back seat is soaking wet underneath... WTF??
Im puzzled what is going on? my boot is dry, i cant figure it out, so any help is appreciated!!

There is a thread on G2IC.com about this, it has to do with the front windshield cowell seals, apparently they deteriorate and they let water in through the air vents and onto the floor thus wet carpet!
form the back! wtf? huuummmm????? thats a hard one, what it caould be is the same that hapened to mine, there is a small rubber plug behind the rear interior panels near the boot light, sometimes the rubber goes hard and can crumble leaving a hole and that hole just hapens to be right behind the rear right wheel! so yeah if most of yoúr boot and back seat are wet it might be because of this.
good luck man and let us know how it all goes.

I had same prob in my LS
The black rubber hose came off the bottom of the air box
It gets rid of the moisture from the air con and any water the may work its way into your pipes
because it came off it was leaking into the floor and therefore the wet smelly floor

Inregards to your problem try these => Sun Roof Drain (http://www.g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138102) or Drivers Side Water Leak (http://www.g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128520)

i fiexed that problem last weekend
its the rain water coming in from the air intake above your feet below your blakc pannel around the wipers i blocked off that hole coz i dun have air vent in my car all the piping has been removed and water comes in liek anything
there should be a black plastic guard covering the hole to stop water flow this could be moved or loose
take of the scatter pannel around the wipers and you will see what i'm talkign about

A: Seals.
B: Hole in boot.
C: Broken water bottle you forgot about.
D: You're seeing things.
E: Make sure the hatch bumpers are in far enough that they let the seals work, yet out enough to push out the hatch when you unlatch it to open it. If they are out too far they won't let the seal seal and you'll get water in the boot area. God I used boot 2 times and I'm not from down there. I'm becoming an Ausi... ahhhhhhhhh! Lol!

The hose that connects to the heater on the Passenger side is most likely leaking. It might even be the condenser return? I can't remember. But I do know that was the problem for me last time someone had water drip on their feet in the passenger side in my old Ford Laser :) Get under there and put the AC on full blast and look for moisutre.

Yes on the EKs (hatch) there are two drain tubes runing through the inside of the boot beheind te rear trim, have a look at these as they may have poped out.
btw have you had the car steam cleaned recently????

guys be carful its not coolant - you might have a leak inside your car from your heater hoses, and if it is, it will be the same colour/smell as your radiator fluid. usually green.
this can result in overheating and/or eventually seizing the engine.
