Guys i noticed my rear seats were damp after the recent weeks of rain...
Couldnt figure out why nothing else was damp or where it was cummin from.
I lifted up the back (bottom) seat and found water there, i couldnt see that well cauz it was dark( at night) but obviously there must be a hole somewhere there and water be getting in ...

My question is, is there something specific i can buy to seal the entire area up ? Like seam sealer type of thing ? Its has to be water resistant e.t.c

Anyone had this problem before ?

Ive never had n e issues with water under the seats, its more in the boot that ive had water issues, where the spare etc is.
Mayb the water is coming up from under the car if u say nothing else is wet BUT the bottom of the rear seats.
Im assuming any sorta sealant will do the trick, jst go to Bunnings or similar and buy some silicon.

i have had the same problem with you.. well water under the seat..

its the same problem as the water getting into the spare tire section..

i noticed it one day when i parked my car on a slope nose pointing downwards.. (just happend to rain)

and well i went one worse my carpet got wet as well..

i had a mechanic tell me it gets in via the bootlid thing where theres a sort of water catchment area. and is SUPOSE to flow to the back of the car and out..

but if you park your car on a slope and nose point forward that water catchment thats ment to flow to the back of the car suddenly is the lowest point. leave your car like that for a while and water will just seep in.

i fixed up the rubber seal for the boot area.. but i dont want to risk parking on a slope again just incase i goto go at it with a towel and bucket again =P..

ohh and.. i noticed my carpet was wet thats where i first cleaned up..
i never relised that there was water in the spare tire area as well.. i found that 1 month later wondering why my car smells =P.
so clean the spare tire area with a bucket..
