Hi everyone,

I've actually been around here for a month or so while looking for information on the DC2R. I just want to thank everyone for their help in finding a car and all the great information you have given me. And thanks norma here for the great car. I'm enjoying it alot.

I'm a 3D animator from Sydney and the lead modeller on the animated series Erky Perky that's on channel 7 sometimes. I also have my own web site if people are interested in seeing my portfolio ... www.jase3d.com

anyway ... I have been a fan of Honda for yonks and here're my previous rides:
this was my 2nd car ... unfortunately it was an auto but still a Vti. it had no mods other than the body kit and recaros. That was a very enjoyable car to drive.

then came this one which had tons of mugen and spoon stuff in it and it did handle well. one of the best cars I've ever had.

and then a brand new silvia S15 with mild mods. this thing was fantastic and very comfortable ... I had this for 4 years, 50,000 kms on it and not even one scratch one it .. it was a very regretable sale. It was wasting away in the garage when I took a year off to look after my 2 kids.

had a rx8 for about 10months... then now a DC2R :)
and here it is :) ... completely stock so far except for the TE37s. I must say that this car certainly lives up to it's reputation as a fun car to drive.

I'm looking forward to modding it a little in the future.
thanks everyone again for this forum. it's fantastic.

cheers :)

Hi Joey, welcome to the forums. Interesting transitionof cars you've owned. Love the pics, hope to see more when you continue modding and updating. BTW, noticed you like 6 spoke alloys. (The te37s look right at home on the r)

You've been through all of my dream cars!
S15 and RX8! :)
I'd love to own a white S15 one day.

Nice ITR, enjoy it!

hahah .. I actually never noticed I've always picked the 6 spokes!
good pick up :) ... that's a very funny fact that even I didn't even know.
come to think of it, the first ever set of alloys I bought for the silver civic before they were abit wonky were MOMO 6 spokes as well!

the s15s are coming into the low $20ks now and are good bargains right now I think especially jap spec ones... but I really wanted something different this time around .. and I think the ITR was a great choice for me right now.

the kids (2 boys) are only 2 & 4 so they're not very interested in real cars yet .. they're more into trains and big garbage trucks and tranformers :) ehhe
I'm sure I will get them into it soon enough :)

just a question ...
does a lightened fly wheel make the car go faster ?
I know that they rev up to vtec alot sooner but does loose quite abit of low end torque. I also know that it doesn't gain you any power either but improves on engine responsiveness.

so all I want to know is if a lightened flywheel is good for every day use and will it make the car any faster as it revs up to vtec faster ?

thanks

I'm not so sure about actually going faster but it will make a difference in the throttle response and "feel" like your going faster. Maybe someone else can clarify more.

i think the one you have seen belongs to a mate of mine in brisbane, has gunmetal speedy Lite-7s. they look similar to the te37s on the fly. could be wrong though. i thought of his car when i saw this one.

I'm working at Animalia Productions (the management section of the production) with the directors and other animators. We work closely with Photon (pretty much next door) and Illoura as well.

I used to teach at TAFE and QANTM and do my own personal work before this. (I'm only 21 :( lol )

Theres a fair few people here from Weta and we've got a group of people that worked on happy feet as well.

I used to work at zspace as well for a few years before the lab .. and also postModern.
