hi guys. just found this set of tein coilovers. i havent seen any like this before and from what i know and seen tein only comes in green. does anyone on the forum use this set of coilovers? if so how good are they? would they be as good as the TEIN SS?

the link is: http://firesport.ipspace.com/?section=item&action=show&id=105760

thanks guys

These are made for comfort more than anything else really, and it's suppose to be in those colours.

If you want to retain an almost factory ride but go lower, these would be the ideal coilovers.

Spring rates are F:7 and R:4, softer than SS.

They are better than SS. They come with an upper mount that uses hard rubber instead of polyurethane of the optional SS mount, so are more comfortable. They also use a monotube shock with microvalving, so damping control at low speeds is better than the SS.

As for the softer spring rate, you can always change it to stiffer springs. Just order from Tein (not sure if you can swap them with the SS though).

thanks heaps guys. i would prefer factory like handling but want to go lower. these would be the perfect coilovers for me then. thanks for your time and replies.

SS = 8k/4k so not much difference there. You'll definitely feel the extra stiffness compared to stock even at those rates.

like aaron said, comfort sport are a better coilover

Better in terms of comfort, perfomance or both? :o

Better because it comes wtih an upper mount that uses hard rubber (better than stock, but not as noisy as the pillowball). Better because it uses a monotube and has microvalving (better damping than SS and Flex).

has anyone got these coils installed on their euro yets?? would love to see a opinion review ...would definetly be interested if they sustain the current ride comfort whilst at the same time produce appealing look :p

LOL, same was gonna order the Tein SS, but then Aaron told me about the Tein CS, and got me thinking...then my head just wanted to xplode. hehe
Its like as soon as i was about to finally pick a decent coilover another one pops up that prompts me to check it out :p
If its good, mayeb we should do a group buy or something :p

have people tried the tien monoflex coils ?
from eevryone who's ever had them or had a ride in them has said that they're the most comfortable suspension ever espeically on aussie roads ... but when you go hard .. so do they. they're abit more expensive though .. about $3000 ... the performace way outweighs the $1000 more than normal coils.

One does wonder how much worse handling but better in comfort they are over Tein SS. The spring rate is almost the same, it looks like a new dampner design mainly? Any dealers here have the CS yet?

Honestly, I would think they'd perform much better...

TEIN SS are essentially a 'comfort' coilover aswell but without the mono tube design and other design features.

There will definitely be an improvement over the road holding of the car compared to stock with the CS and the spring rates are well suited to Australian road conditions.

Unless you're tracking your car or just like to feel every bump in the road stiffer spring rates are rather pointless... stiffer is not always better.

Who has Monoflex on their Euro? It's as stiff as Flex, but with microvalving and a monotube.

Tein CS are the best coilovers for street cars IMO.

They can be had for 2k landed in Australia. The ones advertised on firesport is damn cheap!!!

As it has already mentioned they have similar spring rates to the SS coilovers, but the major difference is the MSV valve which has been designed to still maintain good handling without sacrificing ride comfort or harshness.

PM me if you would like to order a set.

Cheers :honda:

So can you get it for the same price as the one on Firesport?
