Hi Guys
Just got stuck on how the angel eye headlights work, i understand the parks and how to wire up the rings, but i need to know which one is teh High beam and which is the normal headlight, does the normal headlight turn off when high beams are on or are they all meant to be on when high beams are on, can you guys let me know how you wired your ones up

on a DA9 AUDM normal turns off when highbeam is activated.
the normal filament is disabled and highbeam filament is activated.

most inner globes are the fogs (need to be wired separately)
then you got the parkers
then i believe you have 2 separate globes for low beam and high beam.
correct me if im wrong

Are you refering to those ebay lights? or just how angel eyes work
angel eyes are the parts/rings surrounding the lights. They should be wired to the parkers.
if its angel eyes and projectors, it depends on what your light connection is set up for.

i've got the same question on the other forum...well since it is not a dual fillament (h4h or h4) like the stockies.. yes, the low beam turns off when you turn the high beam on w/ the fogs activated with the high beam... you got h1 and h3 right? i know it doesnt light as much as the stockies well thats the downside of of the projectors.... u just need to get a good set of bright white bulbs.... i hope this all helps...

if you're using single filament bulbs then you can splice into both lowbeam and high beam wiring. that way the lights will be on for both.

basically join the power wire from your high beam to the power wire of your lowbeam.. so when you turn the highbeam on.. the low beam stays on
it would be a red wire..
keeping in mind that if you do this.. you will have highbeam, low beam and fog on at the same time
i would disconnect the fog and put it on a separate switch (thats what ive done)

don't do it! instant defect! thats what i had done originally got done for it.

You can do this as well just be careful because if you pull to much current you will melt your wires

i dont understand how having your fog light on a separate switch is a defect ???
theyre not supposed to come on with your highbeam in the first place.. and i would have thought any modification to the car is a defect.. therefore having the lights in the first place is illegal.
the reason why they light up like this is because they come from the US - and the way the US headlights work are different to the way AUDM headlights are wired.

i do kinda agree with FR33K, what kind of a defect is that when you are turning off the fog lights when you don't need it? does anyone know here if that defect applies here in NSW??? i wouldn't mind trying this but i wouldnt want to be defected aswell...

The police officer told me that you have to have a minimum of at least parkers on in order to activate your fog lights. so if you can turn your fog lights on with out your parkers it is illegal. it makes sense because as if you would have your fog lights on in the dark without your rears being illuminated. So you could run a switch for your foggies as long as you cant turn them on when no other lights are on
While were on the topic, how r theses wired up as im thinking about getting then in the near future. Just want to know y is there and orange reflector on the side? Is it because its an indicator or just for show?
