damn both of you guys are flying. Are you going down to superlap again this year fireball?

fireball
09-07-2011, 08:33 PM
going to superlap but not entering unfortunately.shame cos the car is almost as good as it is ever going to be. just too many darn bills to pay , if the finances were a bit better i would. with the entry fee and a new set of tyres to run being $3k or so, just can't justify that at the moment. going to enjoy being a spectator this year. it's so hectic when u r driving, i didn't get to see much of anything else last year.

How many Honda's do you own ? ;)

Queensland raceway - 71sec
Mt Cotton Hill Climb - 56.17

100% stock with re001

Please can you all fill out information as per the front table

"Time" - "User Name" - "Honda Model/Chassis code" - "Engine Code" - "Tyre compound" ("Tyre brand")

It is a very easy and basic table for everyone to fill out, and gives a bench mark for everyone else, I will not be chasing people to update blank information

Qr sprint circuit- 62.5002- eg6- B18c- bridgestone re55s
Qr clubman circuit- 65.1608- eg6- b18c- bridgestone re55s

Sadly only got half a session on the clubman circuit today due to overheating issues and stock brakes giving out. WILL BE BACK!!

What you push back ? :p

dude u were really fast today!

1st time with the new motor in, so much to improve on ^_^

QR sprint - 64.57 - EK1 - k20a2 - re55s

In you go

QR clubman - em1 b16a - 70.11 - street tyres
QR clubman - fn2R K20z - 70.4 - street tyres

Will only be doing a top 10 for Clubman, Sprints has been extended to top 20 only because everyone races on it at one stage ...

In other words, drive faster :honda:

New time for QR Clubman during race, not sprint = 1:00.9700s

I see i see. my friends were telling me its a stock b16 box. i knew it had to have a gearset and lsd. but even still, must be a wicked steerer at the wheel to get those times! do you have any details on which zeal coils he's running / spring rates

Speedcore car is a good example of a under powered car that handles well. He is also a very good steerer!

Gearset was supplied by me (GEAR-X). Its a nice addition to any B-series car street/track

First time at lake side. First practise heavy rain friday went out to just sus the track out. After driving around slowly getting faster and faster there was starting to get a dry line. The rain had just started again which I didn't notice and I was pushing to hard. Ended up losing it just before the bridge spinning around 3 time and went into the armco haha. Very very lucky there was only a slight dent and paint off. This morning in qualifying it was dry, which I set a time of 1.06.0, first race (which was my very first time circuit racing with traffic) best time of 1.06.0 again. Second race this arvo best time of 1.03.70. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. I'll see what times I get tomorrow and post my quickest time in the correct format

Great time brian - door to door racing, thats pretty hectic!

Best lakeside time for me:

edit: spinning 3 times at lakeside would have been brown pants time haha

intacivic16v
14-09-2011, 05:11 PM
Thanks alexx, yeah I was pretty pumped with the way the weekend ended mate, considering I could have quite easily ben towing a wreck home on friday.
Man that is a awsome time on street tyre's. it must be sliding everywhere?

The strange thing is I think the spin ended up helping me, cus I knew the limit on that corner. I had a great time with the circuit door to door racing, great fun. It was the first time I'd tried that as well. And also the first time I've driven on a track that wet.

By the way I'm looking for some 15' rims if you know of any. 7 or 8 wide

intacivic16v
14-09-2011, 05:13 PM
I did a little bit of damage to the awsome ones I got off you.. Can still use them though

Alexx
15-09-2011, 01:50 PM
Yea the road tires wernt ideal, just had to try and drive smoothly to compensate haha. Was still sliding around though for sure.

That sucks about the wheels :(, I sold all of my 4x100 wheels unfortunately, but ill keep you in mind if I see any suitable ones for sale.

Ah yeah, the oil in qualifying was pretty hairy, just changed into 5th in the corner coming onto the straight and round we go, someone said we spun 3 times. Thank F we didn't hit the wall, but smoking second to pull it out of the spin was great. Brian, you car is a little rocket for a 1.6L, you certainly got a great time of 61s

Man I had a look at it straight away, they were maxed out, but with some minor mods I'll be able to pull more out in the rear. I hardened the coilovers all round, but went slower. I'll have to sus out those itb's you were taking about

Thanks for the kind words fellas. its a great little car, fun to drive and reliable as. There's still room for improvement in the car and how I drive, can't wait to get out there again.
