Removing Gearbox

To remove the gear box, do you need to take off the starter motor

noth sure abt ludes ... but some cars the starter motor bolts also hold the bel-housing to the block ..

its only 2 bolts anyway and the power cable

Sorry to mention, its a del sol.
So do i need to remove the starter motor to take off the gearbox

No need to remove starter moitor.

Only need to remove one of the 14mm bolts bolding the starter motor. Its the one you can't see.

I've always removed the 2 bolts, the bottom one is the most annoying
