ey guys i recently installed a BC short shifter (thanks to yonas for good dealing) and after installing it feels GREAT n all in shift wise except for one thing, when i downgear or like the car is shaky (mayb over roughish road or something or downgearing cos car shakes a lil when doing so) it feels like the shifter is knockin around in my gearknob o.0 and yes it fits perfectly n all its all the same as i did on the original shifter, im think it mayb the vibration passing from something that mayb i didnt tighten up properly when installing? usually you can only tell by when ur hand is actually on the gearknob then u can feel it, but soemtimes it actually gets loud on certain road surfaces.
any ideas or tips ?
thanks in advance

might be rubbing the exhaust. Check under the car whilst someone shifts.
Happened to me the first time also, as the exhaust moves around slightly

thanks limbo, after i put up the thread i went and checked it underneath and it was the exhaust, so i bent the hangers a lil (verii minorly) just to clear it.

i had same issue with buddy club short shifter.......
it was the fac ti have after market exhaust which is bigger in diameter and the bracket used to rub on the shifter by 2mm...so i dropped the exhaust and cut off the excess of the bracket that wasnt needed anyways and fixed the prob
