hi guys,
My speedo seems to be jumping up and down when i am driving.
Any idea on what the cause of the problem could be?
Tachometer and all the other gauges works fine.
This is my stock cluster.

I think bfeboi is correct,
More than likley the problem is the Speedo drive on top of the gearbox.
EK4's & DC2R's are notorious for this, particularly in cars ownd by young guys who love to keep them clean, inside & out...
Why, well the pins of the speedo sensor are of a different material to the clips in the plug.
When water is added it doesn't take long for the dissimilar metals to have a potential difference...
Next thing you know the speedo is playing up.
If you unplug the speed sensor & have a good look inside, you'll find a green deposit...
The pins if they remain & didn't break off when you removed the plug can be cleaned carfully.
So too the clips in the plug.
In worst cases you'll need to buy a new drive & replace the plug on the loom when both sides are corroded beyond repair.
If cleaning works, be sure to use a little WD40 & check the rubber water seal is intact
(Usually missing when problem occurs) often lost through the life of the car, generally around clutch change time.
Hope that helps.
check the connector for corrosion which is common on hondas
clean up the connector and reinstall.
if still no work swap one with a mate and test again.

Hey guys, just had the same problem, here my thread,
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=85343
I took out the sensor, had gunk in it, and the pins in both the male and female plugs have blue powder on them, yay to corrosion, I did give them a clean, but cant get it all off, I reinstalled the sensor back in and now my speedo is not working at all... any advice, I am keen on making it work if its possible but definatly wanting to replace, anyone know how much they cost roughly?

spray down the ternimals with contact spray. That should fix it. If not change the speedo driver. I think B and D series are the same? correct me if im wrong.
