I just wanted to get opinions on buying 2nd hand coilover's.What would you lean towards a second hand set of $1400 coilovers for $900 with height and damper control that have done 15,000km OR a new set of $950 coilovers with only height control?
I want to get an overall feeling of buying 2nd hand coilovers though.
Thank U!

second hand buddy
make sure you get lots of pics and ask as many questions as possible
I bought my coilovers SH and no problem so far, but its just my individual experience.
Mine had roughly less than 20k on them when i bought it
with cheap new ones, they are shit to start with

buy 2nd hand japanese or european coilovers / shocks..
Do NOT buy brand new chinese or tiwanese coilovers ( d2 , BC etc)

however you dont get height adjustability.
Koni + Ground Control coilover sleeves with eibach springs = ~$1600 from the states. top setup.

I wouldn't go with 2nd hand coilovers. Better to save up a bit and get them new. Don't cheap out on suspension. Better to get a good set of coilovers that will last you for as long as you have the car.
If your budget doesnt stretch to allow for Jap coilovers then either save up a little longer ot you may have to settle for some of the cheaper ones. Since your car is a daily it's probably OK to put ISC/HSD, etc on them. Besides I've heard quite a few good things about HSD and was actually going to get a set but my mate got a good deal on his Tiens.

you might get the odd dude trying to rip you off with bad units, but if you inspect them and get a good set, you're laughing:)

get pics, check with other prices, if you are in a position to see them make sure that the sleeves arent seized, dust boots arent cracked and make sure when they are compressed they come back up properly and at a uniform speed lol

The Fella selling them lives near me so I can inspect them.I need the height adjust aswell cause I just put on 15" rims and I go a 2 finger gap at the rear and 1 at the front.Damn.I really like the comfort of the set up I got now, stock shocks and king lows but that gap will shit me real soon I know.
