it has possibly just lost its memory and needs to be re programmed, Have you had the switch disconnected at some stage? Press and hold switch for window to go all the way down, then when window reaches the bottom leave switch depressed for about 5 seconds. Then put window up all the way to the top and again hold switch up for 5 seconds after window has reached the top. then try auto function.

your auto function,
does it click when u press the button all the way?>
i will try that reprogram thing tomorrow...
yes the cable was disconnected when they put a central locking unit when i got my alarm done...
cheers backdog
hey backdog...
i just tried your method and here are the results...
i press and hold the down button and kept my finger on it for 5-10seconds and repeated that for up...
after that the switch doesnt open or close the window... i then lower the passenger window and tried opening the driver side then it opens...
but it still doesnt open automatically....
any other ideas mate?

Sorry buddy but im pretty sure there is no memory unit in the window closer module, it works sort of like a circuit breaker, it should go down all the way when the button is fully depressed or for a certain time then the window will keep going until it stops moving causing a kind of current overload which trips the module in turn stoping the window. First check fuses just in case, second make sure when you put the window down and up there is nothing touching the window inside the door (locking actuator) if all is good check the module itself that all the plugs are pluged in, worst case senario is that you may have a burned track in your window module circuitry.

hmm ok cool... i will check the fuse for the pwr windows...
anywhere i can find the fuse graph online?

Take it back to who fit it.
wanna hear a stupid story about me?
here goes :P
i got my jazz 2 months ago... had no factory alarm..so i opened a post in the jazz forum asking for advise on which alarm to get... so i took the advice and went down to strathfield in auburn and got a CYCLOPS coz its approved by alot of insurance companies...
so this guy called VINCE apparently the BOSS of a contractor company who installs alarms/audio for strathfield did it for me...
here are the thigns that grinds my gears.
1. the dash was not put on properly...
2. alarm lock does not lock the doors
3. hatch door does not activate the alarm
4. 4hrs wasted running back and forth to the store trying to organise the idiot to fix the problem
i got so pissed off i went into the store and demand him to come to my place and fix the alarm coz im sick of going to the store and getting passed the bucket.
my opinion for any guys who wants something done by them...i'd rather use a padlock on the doors like mr. bean
but yeh...anyways i`ll post again when the alarm is fixed...
alarm is now fixed but window switch is still stuffed....
does anyone know any auto electricians i can go to around strathfield? i'd rather not go through a honda dealer...
