HERE IS SOME INFORMATION ABOUT EARLY MODEL MUGEN WHEELS.I THOUGHT I HAD A SET OF MR5 WHEELS BUT THEY TURNED OUT TO BE IMITATIONS,SO I HOPE THIS HELPS.THERE MIGHT VERY WELL BE MORE OUT THERE BUT THIS IS THE ONLY INFO THAT I COULD FIND.FEEL FREE TO RECTIFY ANY OF THE INFO THAT I HAVE POSTED.

01. MUGEN M7
APPARENTLY THESE ARE THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER WHEELS BECAUSE OF THE TIMELESS DESIGN.I GUESS THEY WOULD LOOK GOOD ON LATER MODEL HONDAS ASWELL.

02. NR10R
RUN OF THE MILL NRIOs ARE REALLY HARD TO FIND.RACE READY NR10Rs ARE REALLY REALLY HARD TO FIND.THE NR10Rs ARE BASICALLY A NR10 WITH EXTRA MEAT TAKEN OFF TO REDUCE WEIGHT.

03. RNR(WHITE)
BLACK RNRs ARE EASIER TO FIND,BUT THE WHITE ONES ARE VERY SOUGHT AFTER.LOOK ALIKES INCLUDE ROTA AND TENZO R.

04. 15 INCH CF48
14 INCH CF48 ARE APPARENTLY EASY TO FIND.THE 15 INCH VERSIONS ARE JDM ONLY AND ARE REALLY HARD TO COME BY.

05. MR5
ALOT OF THESE WHEELS COME OUT IN 15 INCH,THERE WAS SPECIAL EDITION TURQUOISE SETS THAT DID COME OUT IN LIMITED NUMBERS.EVEN MORE RARE ARE THE 16 INCH VERSIONS.

I KNOW IN SOME OF THE DESCRIPTIONS I LISTED THAT SOME OF THESE WHEELS ARE EASY TO FIND,BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE AS I HAVE FOUND.SO IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE ABOVEMENTIONED WHEELS,KEEP THEM OR IF YOU ARE SELLING THEM MAKE SURE YOU GET TOP DOLLAR.HOPE THIS HELPS TO SHARE SOME LIGHT ON THESE RARE WHEELS ,CHEERS

INFORMATION WAS SOURCED FROM HONDA TUNING MAGAZINE.

I have alot of info to also add for the MR5's and CF-48's (but will add later)

the CF-48's atm are being replicated and are for sale from rota they are called the "City" or something like that there also on egay in america and i believe come in 3 different colours

If you want to buy them directly from rota you have to email them and ask as there website does not have them on

Also to add that the 16" MR5's are from the EG period

Will add later btw any chance of capslock being removed and OP editing it (no offence its just a bit straining on the eyes)

Lenso & Rota make all of the above wheels... great if you can find original Mugens.... & at realistic prices

(some people want ridiculous $ even 2nd hand original Mugens)

Don't get me wrong but does that mugen stamp/badge mean that much?

Each to there own....

It's not just the name.
It's the unique style and the engineering as they are forged and extremely lightweight.

Thanks but I'm quite aware of that...

You seem to think im flaming mugen's... Im not.

I just find they fetch to higher prices for what they are.

mugen rims do fetch higher prices for what they are.

But any "copy" rim...is simply a copy aesthetically. It is a cast of the real thing and no design or loading issues have been taken into consideration to these.
Fine for normal driving but under ANY type of extra load or force...it is unknown if they can sustain being intact.

IE i would avoid any type of copy rims , for safety and reliability.

The quality of Mugen rims are a priority unlike replicas.

I have seen replica rims crack or snap under heavy load on track

But I guess you get what you pay for.

As usual this issue turns into some sort of debate.

Wheels are wheels... a car gets you from a to b.

mate you got a funny theory, I presume you don't modify cars and you don't spend anything on any luxury items because they all have the possibilty of go missing or get damaged...

^ Not at all... ok retards... I don't own mugen's or want them (there a great wheel structurally &

cosmetically, but they don't make a few particular styles that I personally like)

I don't know if you've noticed but alot of Honda's are being stolen.

Get the picture.

And lastly I'd prefer to spend that sort of money on other non car related things .

omg how did this end up as such a b!tch fight?

lol @ 90LAN's reply (well put and classy ;) )

people buy mugen rims and parts to add value to their hondas other brands usually just dont do it for a buyer, mugen adds $$ others usually dont...
if you cant afford the real thing replicas will do the job on road (as long as you dont hit a pot hole or something as they are easier to damage than the real thing) but they wont increase the value of your car
