yo
Im looking 4 a new teg and have my VTi-R wreck with lowish Kms on it.
PROBLEM: Finding it hard to find a good VTi-R and so many GSI's....
How Hard is it to drop my Vtec motor into a GSI? Will i need to swap the ECU too ? Require retuning ?
Another idea is to stick my Lower KMs VTEC into another VTi-R with lots of kms... Only problem is then everything else is still old and worn and im stuck with a engine that doesnt match my cluster ( no big deal i suppose )
thanks :)

holy shit how ******* hard is it to search?
yes, you will need a new ecu
you will neeed to add a few more wires.
easiest thing to do.
get a gsi
get your wrecked vtir and do a totall swap of the dash and all the wirign behidnt ehdash, going to the engine bay

VTEC isn't everything...
Instead of spending the money swapping your engine and sourcing the parts (unless you can do this yourself), why sell your half cut and spend money to boost the B18b instead?
Just my opinion, although I am probably biased :)

I personally rekn gsi go hard as well.
so you could just mod that engine, instead og spending loads of $$$ converting
keep in mind they are both DOHC engines.
Just vti-r has VTEC scream, which is a lot more desirable lol. *drools + a little more powerful (kw/nm). (going off honda website)
Yeah.. vtec not that great

yeah about this..lsvtec is just say.. putting the b18c2 vtec head on the gsi and wiring up the vtec..
do you need a manual gsi 2 use the head
does it work if the gsi is auto putting the head originally from a manual

no, being an auto or a manual shouldnt mame a difference, you will just need to find an auto ecu

im 90% sure you only neeed to run like, 3 extra wires, for the vtec solenoid
Just boost the B18B , if not just keep looking around for a Decent Vti-r.
