hey really quickly i have an extra wire coming out of my e-manage which im told is the vtec solenoid wire....just wondering if its essential that i connect this for the car to....work properly?

i guess if you want to modify vtec point only...
No you don't need it unless you want to control the VTec crossover point..
I've got mine enables but found that Honda's point was the best in the end anyway lol
Have you setup your e-manage to enable VTec via the Jumper setting inside?
By default the GReddy kit has VTec disables as the kit was made to cove D16'a VTec and non VTec
Dose the E-manage have an EG4 sticker on it?
yes it has an eg4 sticker
just set the right unit inside and connect the wire...then if your tuner wants to adjust the point he/she can.
thanks guys its all sorted. i know its the right thing to do, but a pet hate of mine is how people speak of their tuner like its their boyfriend/girlfriend. not like: 'steve the guy who tuned my car reckons...."
it's: "well, my tuner and i dont think its best if we do that..."
ok so ive been playing around with the emanage and the car runs perfectly fine once its warm, but on first startup etc its still being a bit of a douchebag. it is idling up and down for the first like 2-3minutes, but then goes fine. should i be concerned? or is this fairly normal?
